These 3 x 2hr Zoom sessions are being delivered by Klara Marosszeky the founder of Australian Hemp Masonry, who is a qualified Workplace trainer and assessor and they cover the theory content of the AHM training and they are being offered on 3 consecutive Thursday evenings.

Please note you will also need to attend a practical day to gain experience in mixing and installing to fully complete AHM Hemp Construction Training. (A Tasmanian practical day will be offered in Campbell Town on 4 September and it is listed separately under our workshops.)

The zoom sessions cover the following:

1. Brief history and where we’re up to in Australia (including with hemp production)
2. Hemp construction in Australia and the BCA
3. The various applications in new residential and commercial building, as well as in retrofitting
4. The material’s performance characteristics
5. Where you can and can’t use hempcretes
6. Design detailing
7. Tools and options for formwork
8. Setting up formwork, installing electricals and plumbing
9. WH & S
10. Making mixes and installation guidelines
11. Installing feature walls
12. Techniques for managing curing
13. Options for external and internal finishing
14. Repairs and making changes.

Following completion of the theory training you will receive a Certifier’s Pack (e-resources including the reports, supporting information demonstrating BCA compliance and other useful information sheets).

Participants will also receive a Certificate on completion of the theory and the practical components. Builders, designers and architects who complete our training can use them to qualify for CPD points. Please let us know if this applies to you so we can supply the additional correspondence to demonstrate your eligibility for CPD points as needed.

Cost of Theory Training: $330 pp (incl gst) for the 3 sessions
