AHMC is working with leading academics from UTS, UNSW, University of Sydney and University of Colorado on a 3 year research project to investigate a range of low carbon binders for hemp construction materials, including binders produced through biomineralisation. A goal of the research which is supported by the Australian Research Council, is to develop a hemp green wall panel to reduce the urban heat island effect and green our cities.
