The Zoom sessions cover the following: 1. The history of Hemp construction and where we’re up to in Australia (including with hemp production and processing) Following the training you will receive a Certificate, a Certifier’s Pack (including the reports and supporting information needed for hemp homes and commercial buildings to be approved by a Certifier or Surveyor) and other information to support you in your project. It is the practical component of our training and combined with the online theory workshop, this workshop will complete your Australian Hemp Masonry hemp construction training. The main applications for hempcrete in Australia are in new residential construction and retrofitting to improve thermal comfort, energy efficiency or acoustics. Our workshops are delivered by experienced trainers. Over the past 10 years Australian Hemp Masonry has supplied BCA compliant hemp building materials and worked with hemp builders and designers and with owner builders, on 240+ residential construction projects in multiple Australian climate zones. AHM has also supplied the materials for a number of commercial builds including the Mildura Powerhouse Project, the Innovation Centre at the Byron Steiner School, the Lithgow Women’s Shed and installation is currently underway at UTAS where the old Forestry Building is being refurbished with hemp. Our workshops share this experience. Builds using our materials have also won quite a number of significant Australian energy efficient building and design awards in the past 5 years.
